GNU Make Documentation

1.
There is no man entry for GNU make
2.
In Emacs (but it must be the OVPIT Emacs from /afs/ovpit.indiana.edu/@sys/gnu/bin) enter info by typing C-h i or M-x info and scroll down until you find:
* Make: (make.info). The GNU `make' utility for automatic and orderly
                          recompilation of large codes.
Place your cursor on that line and press return.
3.
PostScript copy of that manual (150 pp.) can be found in
/afs/ovpit.indiana.edu/common/gnu/doc/make-3.76.1
4.
If you're addicted to WWW, connect to
http://beige.ucs.indiana.edu
A pointer to the PostScript version of ``GNU Make'' document is about 3/4 down the page.
