The QPSF 1997 Road Show



During 1997, QPSF held a RoadShow, the purpose of which was to introduce new users at institutions participating in the QPSF Consortium to the QPSF IBM SP2 multicomputer. The talks covered many technical issues such as

At the end of the presentations the participants should have received sufficient background to begin working effectively with the QPSF SP2 and write simple parallel programs. Notes covering most presentations were provided.

The RoadShow presentations were very well received and it is planned to provide future, similar sessions in subsequent years. Any suggestions as to their content and/or timing will be gratefully received. Send your suggestions to webmaster@qpsf.edu.au or contact your local Support Rep.

Depending on the arrangements with the universities the presentations were delivered either in two 6 hour sessions over two days, or in four 3 hour sessions over four days.
